Photo Diary: Mexico

Photo Diary: Mexico

My
happiest childhood memories are of standing on the rocks with
my brother as the waves splashed at our feet. We’d explore between
all the crevices looking for sea creatures and when it was time to
head back to our parents, we’d follow the line where the ocean
meets the sand hunting for hermit crabs. As a family we’ve always
been water lovers and with this in mind, I decided that my next
trip had to be centered around the sea. With a fondness of colour,
and Día de Muertos art and skulls, the natural conclusion was
Mexico. The trip began in Mexico City, tasting the cities’ culinary
delights and absorbing myself in the local art scene. After a few
days of the Mexican City smog and a couple of nosebleeds later, I
travelled to Tulum craving the tranquility of the Caribbean
coast.
