We’re giving away a two-night stay at Barcelona’s coolest under-the-radar hotel.

Think Barcelona, think La Sagrada Familia and Las Ramblas. Of course, but we’re less obvious than that – particularly when it comes to choosing where to stay in one of Europe’s most popular capitals.

Allow us to let you in on a little secret: The Wittmore. Tucked within the Gothic Quarter’s tight cobweb of medieval streets and trussed up in velvet, it feels more like a private members’ club than a hotel, and we’re giving a reader and a friend the chance to check in for a long weekend.

Inside, a palette of olives and burgundies make for a calm antidote to the mosaic madness of Park Guell. That’s not to say it’s lacking in character. Antique furniture and kitschy nods to the pre-digital age (note the rotary dial phones and heaving library) give this moody enclave a laid-back, speakeasy feel. There’ll be no photos here, nor children. It’s a strictly adults-only affair, with a baronial bar-lounge that descends into revelry as night falls.

The Wittmore couldn’t be better located for curious visitors keen to sink their teeth into the city either. Set out from the hotel and you’ll stumble upon a patchwork of pulsing plazas before emerging, several tumblers of vermouth later, into Barcelona’s glistening suntrap of a port.

We’ve teamed up with Small Luxury Hotels to give you and a guest the chance to win a three-night stay and dinner one evening at Witty, their in-house restaurant.
