To kick off the summer months, SUITCASE teamed up with our music editors at Juicebox and threw what we can honestly say was the day party of all day parties at Shapes Terrace in Hackney Wick.

The music was a true lesson in how to get your crowd up and dancing from Shivas Regal, Joe Hertz, KAASI, Lxury, Two Inch Punch and Brey, our very own Becky Tong and a lil’ impromptu set from Disclosure. Filipina June Marieezy performed live for the first time in London, leaving the crowd in awe (and drooling).

‘It’s five o’clock somewhere’ was the theme of the day, with cocktails flowing from the Turntables bar from 12PM. We soaked up our margaritas with jerk burgers from White Men Can’t Jerk and Vietnamese street food from Love Fresh Vietnamese.

Wedged between two cold, wet and cloudy days, the higher powers were on our side as the skies remained bluer than blue. We toasted them with tina coladas and victory danced to Jamie XX’s Good Times.
