In September 2014, during London Fashion Week, SUITCASE hosted a night of dancing and drinks at BASEMENT, The London Edition with Becky Tong and Adam Callan of Juicebox, the London based music events, PR and artist management company. With our summer day party coming up on May 30 at Hackney’s best outdoor spot, Shapes Terrace, we’re taking the relationship one step further by making the Juicebox duo our new music editors.
Adam and Becky have both worked in music since they were ready and able – DJing, promoting, working at labels, and managing and developing artists. Juicebox is the culmination of all that experience, and as music editors they will be bring an insider’s eye on what’s at the cutting edge of music around the globe.
Juicebox was born as a carnival party back in 2012. Finding its home at the Notting Hill Arts Club, it grew to become one of West London’s best loved club nights. Since then they have grown the brand, spreading the parties both West and East, and this year taking it to Ibiza and Bestival. They manage young London DJ/Producer Joe Hertz, have established Juicebox PR and are preparing for the first release on Juicebox Recordings.
On May 30 Juicebox and SUITCASE teamed up to throw a summer day party at Hackney’s canalside spot, Shapes Terrace. Possibly the most epic party we have ever been to (we know we’re biased), the Tina Coladas were flowing, Jerk burgers from White Men Can’t Jerk cooking, and the tunes were banging. The day saw the likes of Kaasi, Two Inch Punch, and Joe Hertz take to the decks with a live performance from soul sister June Marriezy, with an impromptu set from Disclosure. (We told you it was good.)
