Karl Lagerfeld, Anya Hindmarch, Diane Von Furstenberg, Henry Holland and Matthew Williamson joined forces with TK Maxx to create this year’s Red Nose Day designer t-shirt collection. On Friday, March 13, Red Nose Day will raise money for Comic Relief; a charity that has been helping families living incredibly tough lives across Africa and the UK since 1985.
Each tee features designer quirks, from Karl’s silhouette in all its ponytail glory to Henry Holland’s usual irreverent slogan. The profit from each tee sold is donated to Comic Relief.
In 2013 £3.7 million was raised through the sales of Stella McCartney’s Red Nose Day t-shirt. To put this into perspective, £8 can help run a UK soup kitchen, providing food for 40, and £1,000 can buy water tanks for two families living in poverty in South Africa, allowing them to grow vegetables that they can eat and also sell on as an additional source of income.
