Following the success of our day party last year, on Saturday the 9th of July (next weekend) we’re teaming up with Juicebox again to throw an epic day and night party called ‘Wish You Were Here’. Some of our favourite DJs and live acts will be playing at the iconic Brewhouse, which has seen parties from Red Bull Academy and Boiler Room in its railway arches in London Fields. On the decks this year we’ve got hot new producer Cadenza, Rinse FM’s Lily Mercer, deep-house guru Guy Laurence, our very own Becky Tong and more.
Kicking off at 2PM and going on until 2AM, Juicebox have selected an epic soundtrack for Wish You Were Here with hip-hop, R&B, disco and house playing all day and all night. Check out this playlist to get into the mood and meet some of the acts:
Cadenza: Once a DJ for Major Lazer, Oliver Rodigan is one of the hottest upcoming producers and DJs out there right now. He’s worked with young British talent like Mabel Mcvey and Jorjah Smith and produced music for dancehall stars, as well as reggae newcomer Kiko Bun. Expect hip-hop, electronic, dancehall and more.
Lily Mercer: Hailing from North London, Lily Mercer is one of the most important young voices in hip-hop right now with her own show on Rinse FM and a regular DJ on Beats1 (Apple’s radio station).
Beaty Heart: Featured as one of Annie Mac’s (Radio 1) new names for 2016, Beaty Heart are a UK-based alt-pop trio making waves on the festival circuit. Influenced by the likes of Roots Manuva, Lee Scratch Perry and Arthur Russell.
Laurence Guy: Deep house is the name of the game with this London DJ and producer who has been endorsed by the likes of Move D and championed by Juicebox since the start. He’ll have you on the dance floor all day and night.
