To celebrate opening of London’s latest luxury hotel, the city’s social elite descended on Holborn to drink, dance and mingle. Find out what they got up to at the Rosewood London opening party… Rosewood London will be followed by the opening of additional hotels across Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean including Beijing and Baha Mar Phuket, Chongqing and Dubai as well as Bali, Jakarta and Bangkok. Rosewood Abu Dhabi opened its doors earlier this year.

Where: Rosewood London, 252 High Holborn, on Wednesday 30th October.

Who attended: Mollie King, Jack Savoretti, Fifi Geldof, Amber Atherton, Janet Street Porter, Andrea Mclean and Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs.

What they ate: Guests sampled bengali spiced beetroot and raisin cakes, chicken tikka bites, spiced lamb chops and crispy prawn cocktails. For dessert, they enjoyed pineapple flambé with rum and raisins and miniature rice puddings.

What they drank: Bubbles & Shrub and Scarfes Royal Punch cocktails, as well as glasses of Perrier-Jouët champagne, and French and Italian wines.

What they did: Guests came together in the Belle Epoque-style hotel’s opulent bar room and were treated to a live acoustic performance by Anglo-Italian singer Jack Savoretti before The Saturdays’ star Mollie King turned DJ for the night to spin a selection of party tunes that had the well-heeled crowd dancing.
