Because not everyone can watch Wimbledon happen in the flesh, we’ve put together a list of places to watch it all unfold in London, Paris, Sydney and Melbourne.
NO.11 CADOGAN GARDENS No.11 Cadogan Gardens, Knightsbridge, London, SW3 2RJ
If you are looking to escape the crowds and watch the matches in a lap-of-luxury setting, the patio of No.11 Cadogan Gardens is where you should be. With flowing Pimm’s Royales (that’s just Pimm’s with champagne) and a location just off Sloane Street spread across four grand Victorian townhouses, their celebration of Wimbledon is as British as they come.
COURTYARD TERRACE AT ROSEWOOD LONDON 252 High Holborn, London WC1V 7EN
Until 12 July, the Courtyard Terrace at Rosewood London will be so much more than a peaceful outdoor extension of the Holborn Dining Room. It has transformed into the perfect setting to fulfil all your tennis-viewing hopes and dreams – a place where you can knock back a few Wimbledon-themed cocktails and a plate of oysters while watching Murray sweat. Bookings can be made for lunch, evenings are first come first served.
LEWIS CUBITT SQUARE Lewis Cubitt Square, King’s Cross, N1C 4AB
If you took part in the yearly scramble for Centre Court tickets and missed out, you can head to King’s Cross where the tournament will be exhibited on one of the biggest screens in central London. Get there early to grab deck-chairs and picnic areas. There will be a bar serving drinks and the square’s resident street food joint KERB will meet the needs of your taste buds.
BEACH ROAD HOTEL Beach Road Hotel, 71 Beach Road, Bondi Beach, 2026
Beach Road Hotel is one of Bondi’s favourite hang-out spots and also has a fantastic sports bar showcasing pretty much any sporting event you could think of. Filled with a laid-back Bondi crowd, this is the perfect place to watch Wimbledon unfold.
Say goodbye to your television and hello to the best location to watch local sports in Melbourne. Watch the games and choose an award-winning brew from their boutique beer menu.
CAFÉ OZ DENFERT ROCHEREAU 3 Place Denfert-Rochereau, 75014
If it’s a buzzing atmosphere and an extensive happy hour you’re after for this year’s Wimbledon Championships, Café Oz is the place to go.
