Story: Nicaragua has been yet another one of my escapes from life in New York City. Nine days of climbing volcanoes, surfing, horseback riding and enjoying that laid back vibe just wasn’t enough. I spent most of my time in the southwest of the country, a surfers’ paradise called San Juan del Sur, and stayed in the quickly growing Maderas village. It’s a bungalow village at the top of a steep hill above the sea where musicians, yogis, surfers and many other passionate people come to enjoy the vibe and get inspired.
