Visit a spa
If you’ve not checked into a spa at some point during your trip to recuperate from the night before’s shenanigans then you’re doing something wrong. The Spa at the Encore is a high-class, no-expenses-spared, opulent experience that channels Oriental luxury with a dash of ancient Romen decadence and lashings of extravagance that would leave even Marie Antoinette blushing. More than 50 treatment rooms inside the 61,000sq ft spa, cold plunge pools, waterfall showers, heated pools with ergonomic seats and timed jets, as well as a women’s-only lounge area means you’d be hard pressed to leave this tranquil oasis.
Indulge in the four hands massage, performed by two therapists working in perfect sync, that feels more like a thousand expert masseuses are kneading your partied-out knots.

Watch a show
Tourists usually flock to “O” by Cirque du Soleil at the Bellagio, but if you’re after a bit of humour with your contortionists then book a seat at Absinthe. Set in a circus tent, the adult-only show will have you blushing with its blue jokes. There’s not a bad seat in the house, so unless you like being made the butt of the circus tent’s jokes, then you’re best off not sitting in the front seats. Plus, if the dirty language doesn’t leave your mouth agape then the incredible gravity-defying stunts, juggling tricks and balancing acts certainly will.

Fly over the Grand Canyon
This natural wonder is best seen from above, and, as you’re in Vegas, it makes sense to go all out and book a trip in a helicopter. Even flying over the Strip is an experience, but once you head out into the desert and catch a glimpse of the Colorado River cleaving through the rust-red rock you’ll be glad you went the extra mile. Book a champagne picnic tour with Sundance Helicopters and you’ll land inside the canyon and be treated to a once-in-a-lifetime picnic.

Gamble until dawn
Even if you don’t know how to, you have still got to give the tables a whirl. High rollers can head to the Bellagio to play with the old timers, or pull up a seat at the MGM Grand or Caesars Palace for a more younger vibe. If you’ve got dreams of channelling Casino Royale, and slinking around in a cocktail dress or tux, then you’ll want to head to the Wynn, whose decor oozes glamour. Not confident in your craps skills? Then head to one of the many casinos – Aria, Mandalay Bay to name a few – that offer free lessons during the quieter daytime hours.
