Once a private members’ club frequented by the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra, Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club has opened after a three-year renovation, offering beachfront luxury via 77 guest rooms, four pools, a holistic spa and several private residences. Continuing Miami’s reinvention as a leading city for art and design, Joseph Dirand – who has designed for fashion houses including Givenchy, Balenciaga and Chanel – has worked his magic on the sophisticated interiors, while three-star Michelin chef Thomas Keller (of The French Laundry) has his first Miami restaurant on the property, with decor by Martin Brudnizki (the mastermind behind The Ivy and Le Caprice in London). The team behind Italian hotel Le Sirenuse will be heading up a second restaurant, with both no doubt become dining destination in themselves.
