Eleuthera, Bahamas.

Why now?

With winter days fast approaching, the only thing that’s on our minds is the prospect of a sunny holiday spent gallivanting around pink sand beaches in nothing more than a string bikini. With that vision in mind, the Bahamian island of Eleuthera beckons us into its warm, piña colada-bearing arms. Far less overrun by tourists than its cousin islands of New Providence and Grand Bahama, Eleuthera is a thin strip of sand boasting more beaches than any other Caribbean island. Hugging the A-lister getaway of Harbour Island, the serpentine island that derives its name from the Greek “eleutheros” (meaning “free”) is a chilled-out and down-to-earth haven. When you’re not lolling about on a catamaran while cruising along the coast, you’ll be whiling away the hours with the latest Zadie Smith book and a generous glass of cold local beer.
