While we’re suckers for researching thoroughly before setting off on a trip, crafting a digital collage of a destination’s most appetising corners is a good way to get the ball rolling (or scrolling, sorry). Whether in the form of exuberant interiors or big, fat panoramas, these are the Pinterest accounts keeping us inspired and worth pinning to your patchwork.

The Pinterest accounts every curious traveller should follow

1. The Venue Report

This one has more of a Stateside focus. Come here for restaurant ideas across America and unusual-looking hotels set in feathery pine landscapes.

2. Jennifer Chong

Wanderlust? We find the term a bit naff but we’ll make an exception for this Los Angeles-based photographer’s “Wanderlust. Asia” and “Wanderlust. Africa” boards.

3. Katie Armour

Sift through her fashion posts until you reach the Scandinavia, Paris and Italy boards which are gold mines of interior inspiration.

4. Messy Nessy Chic

We don’t know who this so-called “Nessy” character is, but her nostalgic “Don’t be a tourist” and “Only in Paris” boards have us and 10 million fellow pinners swooning.

5. Joao Leitao

This intrepid traveller is clocking up passport stamps quicker than we can re-pin his latest adventures. Flick through his Yemen, Mali and Kyrgyzstan boards to for some far-flung inspiration.

6. Lola Akinmade Åkerström

All the go-pro gear and no idea? Stalk award-winning photographer Lola Akinmade Åkerström’s boards for her insider tips.

7. Hand Luggage Only

Packing light really isn’t our forte so we’re bypassing Yaya and Llyod’s packing tips and diving straight into their boards filled with German fairy-tale castles and epic hiking routes.

8. SUITCASE

We might be biased, but ours isn’t too shabby either.
