Perez Art Museum Miami houses one of the greatest collections of contemporary art in Miami. Showcasing works by renowned artists such as Ai Weiwei, Wifredo Lam, Robert Rauschenberg and Donald Judd, the range of contemporary art pieces is astonishing and definitely worth the visit.

Wynwood Walls

Conceived by Tony Goldman in 2009, the Wynwood Walls has quickly become a Miami landmark. The Walls is a complex of six separate buildings that are committed to showcasing the works of young and emerging street artists alongside small local restaurants, adding to the collaborative identity of the area.

O Cinema

This compact cinema located in the Wynwood Arts District is a non-profit movie theatre that shows independent, foreign and art films. Apart from movies, O Cinema also has a concession stand that offers gourmet products produced solely by small businesses.

Zaha Hadid's Elastika

Architecture and design enthusiasts should make a beeline for the Moore Building. In its atrium architect Zaha Hadid has created a mesmerising installation, connecting different landings to each other. The structural fabric – mimicking the stretchy quality of elastic – was created using geometry software and plays with concepts of time and space in the architecture.

Positioned next to the new ICA Miami museum, you can quickly check out the Swiss artist’s piece before getting an ice cream from the Milanese gelato cart, pasticceria marches.

Rent a jetski

Rent a jetski at Pier A and rather than jetting around the ocean aimlessly, use it as a way to get up close to the mansions on Star Island where some of the biggest names in Hollywood have owned homes. The white house from the movie Scarface is also in peeking distance.
