To Drink

Ceresio 7

This latest addition to the Milan night scene is ideal for drinks on the rooftop pool accompanied by classic Milanese dishes. The restaurant is situated on the top floor of the house of the Dsquared2 Group and historical Enel’s building in one of the most fashionable areas of Milan. Book in advance.

Nottingham Forest

This is one of the coolest drinking experiences that Milan offers and has been rated among the top 50 bars in the world by several publications. The Nottingham Forest Bar is a fusion of original furniture styles with oriental touches, African twists and Caribbean flare. They don’t take reservations which means queues can be long but it’s worth the wait. Drinks are absurdly cool.

Club 1930

If you are looking for a little adventure, go to the prohibition inspired Club 1930, a secret living-room style bar, known to very few. Don’t bother trying to find it on Google, rather go straight to the MAG Café, which is the cover bar, and ask to be invited to the real deal.

Brera

One of the most visited and truly original areas in the centre of Milan, the pedestrian-only Brera is always filled with excitement and people, whether you go for a quick bite at lunch or for the famous Italian aperitivo. Brera has always been the area of choice for artists, singers and students, and the proximity to Pinacoteca di Brera traces its artistic spin on things to this day. The Bar Jamaica, once the famous watering hole of artists and intellectuals alike, such as Piero Manzoni and Ugo Mulas, remains a hot spot for today’s Milanese youth. Other great bars are the Bar Brera, Sans Egale, and the Marc Jacobs Café.

    Patuscino

This tiny club is nestled in the heart of Brera and always promises huge amounts of fun on any night of the week (except for Mondays). It’s a very laid back place, serving some of the best mojitos in town.

    N'ombra de Vin

This is a historical enoteca of Milan which used to be frequented by the likes of the Napoleonic troops and Mozart. Today it also has a bistro with a fantastic selection of gourmet meats. It is one of the most popular places for aperitivo and nightcaps.

    Plastic

Discover the alternative Milanese nightlife that everybody loves and embrace a variety of people. This club is one of the most popular and hosts funky nights from Friday to Sunday. Don’t show up at the door with too large a group as you’ll just be waiting in line forever. After dancing your night away, go in search of smaller rooms where you can sing along to famous Italian songs.
