ATMOSPHERE: An unpretentious private club for ‘the cool kids.’ Your adolescent fantasies of a fried chicken hangout come true, but with great cocktails. Playlist tuned to Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Sam Cooke.
DECOR: The front door is very easy to miss, but once you peel back the heavy red curtain you’ll find a dimly lit and tiny retro diner-esque lounge.
STAFF SERVICE IN THREE WORDS: Cool, relaxed and friendly.
AVERAGE WAITING TIME FOR MEAL: 10 minutes.
BEST MAINS: Spicey Fried Chicken (it’s either that or classic fried chicken and a chicken sandwich).
BEST SIDES: Triple Cooked Fries, Creamed Corn and Sweet Potato Mash. That’s all of them.
BEST DESSERTS: Oreo Ice Cream… Dip Dab style.
WHAT DOES THE DRINK MENU OFFER? Homemade Lemonade, Brandy Milk Punch and a delicious amaretto/vodka concoction called The Godmother.
DO YOU NEED TO BOOK A TABLE? Yes, there are only six tables.
WHO GOES THERE? West London’s coolest and finest.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Perfect spot for a bite to eat before heading out and about in West London, and if you don’t want to go anywhere it’s right above The Globe night club, which is cool again, apparently.
