Sporer

Established in 1903 and run by four generations of the same family, this tiny bar and liquor store is true find. Now run by Michael Sporer and his team, past generations of his family have each added to the selection of alcoholic concoctions, such as the orange punch that was created by his great-grandfather and founder Franz Sporer. As well as selling a selection of brandies and liquors in rows of glass bottles around the store, Sporer provides the perfect place to pop in and sample a warming beverage to begin a night in town.

Amadeus Salzach-Insel-Bar

One of Salzburg’s finest features is the River Salzach – make the most of it at this floating bar. Drink in views of the city from one of the open-air terraces as you work your way through the extensive menu, with the mountains It is a popular spot among locals for after-work drinks.

Watzmann

For a small city, Salzburg has a substantial range of bars and venues on offer for those looking for a lively evening. At the friendly and fun Watzmann bar and lounge, visitors can choose from a wide range of cocktails, with various deals to take advantage of. As the sun sets, punters can get ready to dance into the night. Watzmann is known for its “funny Wednesday” club nights and hosts a range of themed events, such as 80s nights and beach parties.

Rockhouse Salzburg

A great place to watch some live music with rock as the speciality. This trendy tunnel-shaped bar, hosts a range of different performers, bands and DJs throughout the year. Whether it is a gig or a club night, this is a very enjoyable place for an evening out, with some rather club impressive lighting adding to its appeal. It also has its own beer garden.
