The tinkling of an invisible a grand piano and barmen in bow ties add to the speakeasy vibe of this corporate favourite. Vintage malts are available for anyone whose money is burning a hole in their pocket.

Club Answer

The leader of Seoul’s electronic dance music scene, this venue has seen acts such as Deadmau5 and Benny Benassi grace its decks. Choose between sitting at a VIP table or hiring out a private room; alternatively you can simply take up residence on the dance floor for the night. Club Answer has a strict dress code so best leave the trainers at home.

Octagon

Alternating between electronica and house music, this underground club has a dining bar, lounge and even a small swimming pool. A regular haunt of local celebrities and big-name DJs, if you’re feeling flush join them by booking a table.

Le Chamber

A high-end speakeasy with Diageo World Class champions as its bartenders, this bar strives for the finest. There is no sign from the outside so it can be hard to find. The basement entrance is even more mysterious; the bookshelf-shaped door will only open if you pick the right book.

Yongsan-gu

Hyundai Card Music Library

A landmark in Itaeweon area, this two-storey building is a mecca for music lovers. The lower level has a collection of 10,000 records spanning a variety of music genres. Visitors can listen to any of them records either by simply making a request to the DJ or using the record players on site. Designed by Choi Moongyu, a well-known Korean architect, it’ll also please those into architecture.
