I love Prague, especially during Christmas. The beautiful city is dressed with stunning lights and becomes completely magical. Every square in the city has its own Christmas tree, the biggest of which can be found at the Old Town Square. If you’re visiting the city this December, take a visit to the traditional Christmas market where you can try some Czech food and drinks while buying traditional presents.

While I was at the Old Town Square, I couldn’t stop myself from visiting the shops nearby. The famous Parizska (Paris) street will remind you of the beauty of the French capital, not just because of its buildings, but local and international fashion boutiques too. Think of it as Prague’s answer to Regent Street in London or 5th Avenue in NYC. With a short walk towards Dlouha Street you’ll find some of the most famous Czech designers showcasing their work, including Klara Nademlynska, Beata Rajska and Natali Ruden.

On the other side of Old town Square is Zelezna Street, where you can find a cool shop called Czech Labels & Friends. There are several different Czech designers exhibiting either a few pieces or their full collections, and if you have a walk around this area, you’ll spot some of hidden showrooms such as TIQE by Petra Balvinova – her collections are always so feminine, romantic and sophisticated at the same time. Boutique NAVARILA by Martina Nevarilova is worth a visit too, with colourful knitted collections catching your eyes and other unique little gifts to treat yourself to.

As the fashion scene in Prague is still young and energetic, locals aren’t afraid to experiment with their style, so if you’re taking a visit – pick yourself something unique and dare to be different.
