Punting

Cambridge is the spiritual home of punting. With stippled sunlight, weeping willows and the gentle lap of water, punting is the best way to experience the beauty of the River Cam – particularly during the summer months. Be warned: navigating the boat is much harder than it looks so perhaps opt for one of the many chauffeurs dotted around the river. Scudamore’s is the city’s oldest punt-hire company and its award-winning tour offers the perfect introduction to Cambridge’s spectacular views and eventful history.
