TEM-PLATE

The eastern Marvila district on the Tagus River is the latest Lisbon neighbourhood to be given new life by the city’s creatives and its one-time abandoned warehouses are now filling up with breweries, co-working spaces and galleries. The new TEM-PLATE is an industrial, all-white retail space that displays its Comme des Garçons, Burberry and Loewe clothing and accessories with a striking futuristic curation.

Mel

The historic Alfama neighbourhood is an atmospheric tangle of steep cobbled passageways strung with washing and vibrant street decorations, making it a natural home for the city’s small artisan shops. Mel is a new mint-hued space that displays wares created by the cream of Portugal’s creative crop: Menina e Moça handbags, natural soaps from Amor Luso and Hoiko oxidised brass and copper jewellery.
