Nothing says staycation quite like a weekend in the country. With that in mind, we've teamed up with our friends at The Double Red Duke to give one lucky reader the chance to do it in style.
Aristocratic manor meets coaching inn chic, The Double Red Duke is the ideal place to leave city stresses behind and embark on a thoroughly wholesome getaway. Downstairs is a warren of snugs and lounges, while upstairs you'll be bedding down in one of the 19 individually decorated bedrooms - think exposed beams, roll-top baths and a plethora of eclectic fabrics.
After ambling along the countryside trails, settle in to enjoy dinner for two on us. With a menu created by meat-aholic chef Richard Turner (of Hawksmoor and Pitt Cue fame), expect large hunks of local meat and fish, expertly charred over Richard's bespoke rotisserie and wood-fired grill.
The Double Red Duke will join the Country Creatures family of pubs and inns, including The Chequers in Churchill, and The Swan, in Ascott-under-Wychwood.
The Double Red Duke is now open for full indoor dining and overnight stays. Reservations for tables and rooms can be made here.
Rooms start from £120 per night
