Where
Toronto, Canada
Why now
With a leading music scene and countless up-and-coming bars,
clubs and restaurants
popping up all over town, Toronto is becoming recognised as a
major global city. Head to one of the city’s numerous music events,
such as the waterfront daytime parties at Cabana Pool Bar or VELD
Music Festival. Don’t forget to squeeze in some
enviable foodie Instas at cutting edge eateries such as Woodlot.
When to go
Anytime between end of May and early October. Canadian summers
are typically warm and sunny without getting overwhelmingly hot.
Early to mid autumn is when the red and golden leaves come out, so
it’s a perfect time for photo opps (and you won’t need to use a
filter). Any later than this and it starts getting a little bit on
the cold and rainy side.
Who to take with you
Your girlfriends. This is the place for nights on the town, and
who better to take on the city with you than your best gal
pals?
Most likely to bump into…
Drake
Don’t miss
Kensington Market. This outdoor market winds
through colourful streets where you’ll stumble upon adorable hidden
boutiques, yummy juice bars and some of the city’s best vintage
shops.
An essential you need to bring with you?
Cool yet comfortable clothing that’s good for walking around
this big, fashion-forward city. Think loose culottes, espadrilles
and floaty sundresses.
How to get there
With a major international airport (Pearson), Toronto is easy to
fly into from most big cities.
