A professional guide to partying in Seoul…

GTA

Renowned on the global music festival track, this Miami-based electronic duo have a knack for producing
earworm tunes and world tours with Rihanna and Calvin Harris under
their belt.

Where’s the best place for dinner?

A local seafood joint. They always have fish tanks and marine
life in the windows. Try the sannakji (live octopus) – it’s
definitely one to tick off the bucket list. There’s nothing quite
like feeling your food hold onto your teeth…

We want to party all night. Where should we go?

Hands down Octagon. It’s been our favourite place to play so far
– such a fun dance vibe and the design inside is dope!

How should we spend the perfect day in the city?

Take advantage of the public transport like the crazily
intricate subway system and visit Gyeongbokgung Palace to see some
of the culture and history. Then walk the grounds of the old palace
with the cityscape backdrop. Do some shopping in the local street
markets and then get stuck into some local cuisine.

What should we pack in our SUITCASE?

Comfortable shoes, a good hat, a camera and a thirst for good
times.

Nic
Fanciulli

A legendary name on the Ibiza circuit, this UK-born Grammy nominee is
an internationally acclaimed DJ, producer and label owner and is
constantly releasing killer house and techno tunes – look out for
his debut album, My Heart, out 20 October.

Where’s the best place for dinner?

My favourite food in the world has got be Korean barbecue. Seoul
obviously has loads of options, but I think Maple Tree House is my favourite.

We want to party all night. Where should we go?

Octagon Club is always fun. They have an awesome second room
where they spin vinyl only.

What’s your all-time favourite place in town?

It has to be on stage at Ultra Korea. I watched the Seoul
Olympics as a child and to play in the same stadium is amazing.

Tell us about a hidden or secret spot.

Alice, a bar in Cheongdam-dong, has some of the best cocktails
I’ve ever tasted.

Raiden

Having trained as a guitarist in Japan, this South Korean DJ and producer has done the
rounds of the world’s biggest festivals and is currently
collaborating with the likes of Fedde Le Grand and Florian
Picasso.

Where’s the best place for dinner?

It’s tough to pick one, but if I had to it would be Sim Yang – a
Chinese lamb barbecue place. We also have our classic Korean
barbecue spots all over Seoul which are great.

How should we spend the perfect day in the city?

Spending the day exploring the Gyeongbok Palace on the
Cheonggyecheon stream. At night, go for Korean barbecue – and then
party at my show!

We want to party all night. Where should we go?

Octagon where I play regularly is the most famous and number
five on DJ Mag’s Top 100 clubs in the world. Be careful where you
go though, because you won’t be leaving before people start to go
to work in the morning…

What’s your all-time favourite place in town?

Nam Mountain. You can see whole of Seoul when you climb up to the top. I go there
when I need inspiration.

What should we pack in our SUITCASE?

Hangover drinks. You’ll get through a lot of soju (traditional
Korean alcohol) when you’re having dinner with Koreans – we drink a
lot!
