For Volume 18 of SUITCASE Magazine (The Rhythm Issue) we visited destinations that encouraged us to explore beyond our comfort zone. In this age it is all too easy to exist within a bubble, and it's important to break free from the patterns we create for ourselves; to travel and switch up the beat.
Our exploration took us to Ghana on the trail of highlife, a vibrant genre of music that originated in the West African nation in the 1930s. Photographer Ash Kingston and assistant Sam Wilson shot model Mouna Fadiga on the country's Cape Coast. Savannah Baker styled Mouna in bold, printed outfits which contrasted with the earthy colours of the landscape, with make up by Oonah Anderson.
