A Kind of Guise
Run by super-cool couple Yasar Ceviker and Susi Streich, who met
at Munich’s Academy of Fashion and Design, this softly-hued shop
stocks their own Made In Germany label – a capsule of streamlined
garments in autumnal tones – alongside other Munich-based brands
that adhere to their locally produced ethos. We bought moss-green
sunglasses and a well-cut trench coat, inspired by the seemingly
effortless aesthetic of the city’s professional crowd.

Literatur Moths
Peruse a carefully curated selection of contemporary literature,
magazines and art and design books at this award-winning
independent bookshop, which pairs its edgy catalogue with a
chiselled shop-floor aesthetic inspired by Eastern design. Harsh
daylight is softened by washi paper coverings over windows,
artworks hang on the walls, elegantly whittled ladders are on hand
to provide access to hard-to-reach upper shelves, and the books
themselves are arranged with room to breathe on pale-wood planks.
Keep an eye on the website while you’re in town – the store hosts
regular readings and exhibitions in conjunction with the city’s
cultural council, too.
