The common denominator between all wares is that they’re produced locally and in small batches. Evernow doubles as a design studio, with many of the in-house designs ending up in the store.

Located under a railway viaduct, Pantoufle’s bright, all-white showroom space is a homage to artisanal homewares from around the globe. Owner Esther Blankers has travelled the world to select expertly crafted items such as the finest linen from France, handmade knives from Spain and bigger furniture pieces like blonde oakwood tables and benches from central Japan. It’s a feast for the eyes – but not so for your wallet. Do note that the shop only opens on Fridays and Saturdays. Alternatively, call ahead to make an appointment.
