Gregory & Tapping
The second outpost of Eton High Street’s most stylish independent boutique, Gregory & Tapping opened its doors in Windsor Royal Station in spring 2022. The concept store is home to one-of-a-kind treasures by local artisans that promise to imbue your home with character. If the plant display outside doesn’t tempt you through its doors, allow the ceramics, soft furnishings and vintage-inspired glassware to.

Windsor Farm Shop
No trip to the countryside would be complete without a visit to the local farm shop. This one, nestled on the edge of the Home Park since 2001, was championed by the late Prince Philip, due to the fact that it stocks high-quality goods from the Royal Estates and small local suppliers. The butchery and grocery is popular with locals, as is the on-site coffee shop, which serves light lunches and homemade cakes for visitors planning to linger a while.

Peruse Berkshire’s Italian offering
We’re champions of shopping local at SUITCASE, so even when the offering might be a bit slim on the ground, we always seek out the spirited stores pushing to provide their community with a local angle. Case in point? Windsor might not have a vast collection of independent shops, but the curated selection on offer is worth a visit – and the Italian representation round here is second to none. Swing by Fortescues ice-cream shop for scoops of creamy gelato fit for a queen, then make a beeline for the forest-green exterior of Tastes Delicatessen in Eton. Owners Judy and Giovanni will be happy to find you some suitable souvenirs from their selection of southern Mediterranean artisan larder goods.
