Dare we say it, the Maldives is the ultimate island getaway; a
palm-fringed, white-sand destination so Instagram-perfect it’s
almost a tropical pastiche. On this verdant trail of sun-baked
islands set like jewels in the glistening lagoons of the Indian
Ocean, honeymooners hole up and hedonists let loose.

We knew that’d pique your interest, which is why this
competition’s a little… extra. We’re spoiling you with not one but
two island getaways. In collaboration with luxury tour operator
Destinology, we’re flying you and a friend out for
five nights of total Maldivian escapism at the luxurious Niyama Private
Islands and Anantara Dhigu Resort. That’s right, a double whammy.
No strings attached.

After touching down in Malé International Airport, your
adventure will kick off with a speedboat ride to Niyama Private
Islands, where a beachside villa with your name on it awaits.
Split across two islands – one called “Play”, the other “Chill” –
the next three days at this leafy resort will be spent alternating
between scuba gear and cocktails as you flit from one haven to the
other.

Choosing your complimentary spa treatment may be difficult, but
picking a restaurant for dinner will be harder still – one is
nestled among the treetops, another serves seafood fresh from the
ocean floor and a third is a one-kilometre boat-ride off shore,
offering 360-degree underwater views as a side course to your main.

Next, it’s time to meet Anantara Dighu Resort, a cluster of three islands
scored by cycling paths and fringed by gently lapping tides – and a

Sunrise Beach Villa, before joining a snorkelling trip to spot
turtles, limbering up for beachside yoga or fobbing it all off for
an easy afternoon on the nearest sun lounger.

Days here start with dramatic sunrise breakfasts and end with
golden sundowners. Between then time between punctuated by
kaleidoscopic smorgasbords of local fruit – best eaten on
sugar-white sands backdropped by tumbling green forests.

Before you catch that final speedboat home, we’re giving you one
final treat: a massage in their glass-bottomed spa which hovers
over the resort’s private reef. Watch psychedelic sealife slip and
slide through unspoilt reefs as you drift into the bliss of a
