If
you’re anything like us, your annual pilgrimage to the White
Isle was probably put on ice last year. Yet as we take tenuous
steps on the road out of lockdown, there’s hope on the horizon for
international travel. Dare we say it? We’re looking forward to
slinking off for a few days of rosé-fuelled lounging, tapas grazing
and cove hopping.

Luckily for you and a friend, we’ve teamed up with the
bougainvillea-strewn boutique bolthole Petunia Ibiza to give you
the chance to win three nights on the island. Perched in prime
sundowner territory, Petunia Ibiza gazes across the mythical
outcrop of Es Vedrà and the pine-laden crescent of Cala Carbó –
dining on paella, barefoot, at the beachside restaurants that dot
the coastline is a must.

While the rest of the world has been baking banana bread,
Petunia was busy making renovations. You’ll be staying in one of
the newly spruced rooms, the Es Vedrà Junior Suite, with its
swoon-worthy views of cactus-strewn gardens, boho cushioned corners
and slick rattan furniture hewn by local designers. Pinterest
fodder at its finest. Elsewhere you’ll find a swanky new rooftop
bar and restaurant, and a boutique selling clothing, accessories
and swimwear by prominent local designers.

This lo-fi retreat dances to a different beat. Opt to meet
Petunia’s resident yogi, on the roof at sunrise. Off the mat, head
to the poolside cabanas. Petunia knows that the best bronzing agent
is a bottle of botanical rosé and a few nibbles, which is why this
rounds on them.

Afterwards, take your sun-scorched selves back to your suite to
dress for dinner. La Mesa Escondida – a local favourite that the
owners purchased and relocated last summer – prides itself on its
garden-to-plate ethos, with most of its produce plucked from
Petunia’s own garden. Three Mediterranean courses whipped up by the
island’s rising-star chef Lorenzo and an accompanying bottle of
biodynamic wine is on Petunia too. Don’t say we don’t treat
you.

Retreat to the rooftop for nightcaps served with a side of
stop-in-your-tracks views. People clamber from all over the island
to snag these vistas of the magnetic Es Vedrà; you’ll be treated to
them straight from the terrace.
