Is there anything more magical than Paris in the spring? A decidedly romantic destination year-round, the French capital is one of those cities that really has us swooning come the first days of this new season. Picture shards of sunlight piercing the muted-grey skyline, parks bursting into bloom and - ahem - some of the best designer sales Europe has to offer.
In light of all this, we've teamed up with the box-fresh, brand-new Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain, which is throwing open its doors to welcome one of our lucky readers and a friend for two nights on a B&B basis. Included in the prize is a three-course dinner for two at the hotel's new restaurant, Les Parisiens, led by chef Thibault Sombardier.
Situated in the vibrant Left Bank neighbourhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the 47-key Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain is a typically Parisian design-led affair, brought to life by interior designer Dider Benderli. Drawing on the creative heritage of the area - Saint-Germain-des-Prés was once a meeting place for cherished artists and writers including Simone de Beauvoir, Albert Camus and Pablo Picasso - each of the hotel's individually designed bedrooms reflects a classic-meets-modern aesthetic that pays homage to the quirks of the hotel's 17th-century architecture.
In need of some high-spec R&R during your stay? Totter down to the hotel's Spa des Prés by Codage, a heavenly space away from the bustle of the city's streets that offers a meditation room, hammam and plunge pool with water jets, alongside an alluring menu of bespoke rituals to soothe visitors cocooned within its white-marbled walls.
