THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.
When lockdown lifts, get outdoors with your #cabinporn retreat of choice
Ergonomically designed, endearingly pocket-sized and nestled in tumbling wilderness; there's something about a wood-panelled cabin that really hits the spot. Just before COVID-19 reared its ugly head, we sent out a newsletter salaciously titled #cabinporn and you lapped it up. Instantly, it became one of our most-read newsletters and spawned the idea for our latest competition.
We've teamed up with Kip Hideaways, a boutique rental company that specialises in audaciously leafy, pocket-sized lodges - in other words, unadulterated #cabinporn- to offer one lucky SUITCASE reader a two-night stay in any of its one-bedroom hideaways in the UK.
We're not suggesting you visit now, of course. The prize will be valid for a year so you can expunge all that pent-up cabin fever once lockdown measures are lifted.
And where better to celebrate the end of lockdown than in the great outdoors? We're not just talking about one daily walk, but perhaps three. Throw in a bicycle ride too. You could even enjoy sundowners in an outdoor hot tub, depending on which cabin you choose.
More to the point, which luxurious stay will you choose? A curvaceous eco-cabin in Dartmoor which looks like a flipped-over hull of a ship licked in chalky paints and slung with blankets. Or perhaps you'll be tempted by the lakeside Secluded Norfolk Cabin, where Danish furniture and a patchwork of exotic houseplants are kept toasty on chilly summer evenings by a wood-fired stove. We won't elaborate on the Snowdonia Treehouses; one of those has our name etched all over its knotted wood cladding.
Sorry to tease, but our cabin fever is currently off the charts.
