Parisian chic meets Nordic cool at Coco Hotel. Located in the neighbourhood of Vesterbo, just a short stroll from the lively Meatpacking District, this is the first offering from Danish-based hospitality group Cofoco - and it does not disappoint. Outside, blue-striped awnings complement a sleek grey facade, with a private courtyard decorated with bistro-style seating making for great al fresco dining - meet you there for a pastry-filled breakfast. While the 88, light-filled bedrooms are all unique in shape and size, each is kitted out with the same custom-made materials, with colour-block walls, abstract prints and rattan furnishings. Hungry? Head to sibling restaurant Delphine, where you'll find an exceptional Mediterranean menu.

Nobis Hotel needs little introduction, given that it is the only Denmark-based member of the Design Hotels collection. Back in 2017, a refurb helmed by talented Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh saw a transformation that took the period features of this 19th-century townhouse and fused them with a contemporary aesthetic - think steel four-poster beds, soft leather chairs and custom-made desks. Post-sightseeing, pay a visit to the ground-floor spa, where a gym, plunge pool and heat treatment rooms are on standby for a self-care afternoon. Then, slip downstairs to in-house restaurant NOI, where chef Mads Børgesen whips up seasonal dishes using all-local produce.

This tropical hideout feels better suited to an off-grid town in Bali than a city - and we mean that in the best way possible. Manon Les Suites, which is part of hospitality group Guldsmeden, is centred around an inviting pool space wrapped with umbrellas, terracotta pots, fish pendant lamps and double daybeds. Rooms are designed for apart-style living, with fully equipped kitchens, spacious living areas and snug bedrooms. Spend evenings on the rooftop terrace, where exceptional Asian-inspired sharing plates and exotic cocktails leave no reason to venture outside the hotel's front doors. Having opened in spring of this year, Indre By is the first Danish outpost from hip hotel chain 25hours. A former porcelain factory, the building was reimagined by London-based Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, transforming it, with a playful palette, into an urban oasis. With cork headboards, chalkboard walls and upholstered furnishings, there is something devilishly daring about this stay. It's the community aspect, however, that we love. From the Vinyl Room to a secret garden and the Love Library, there are lots of hidden gems to discover during your visit. There are also impressive fitness facilities, resident DJ nights, top-notch restaurants and buzzy bar areas to keep you entertained. You'll find us sipping on an extra-large mojito, gawking at one of the talented barmen whipping up another concoction at the Assembly Bar.

The Audo is the sort of hotel that makes you redesign your entire house, before even visiting. This 10-key boutique boasts a show space, co-working base, concept store and café, while remaining a great place to recharge your batteries, obvs. Earth-toned rooms are decked out with natural leathers, marble tables and cloud-like sofas - all of which are purchasable. The best bit? Each area, be it a light-filled work corner or sheltered bedroom, has been purposefully designed to positively impact guests' wellbeing, in recognition of there being a connection between environment and emotion.
