In our book, no brand complements Miami's art-deco palette more than Rebecca Hessel Cohen's, LoveShackFancy. Frills, crochet and ice-cream hued summer stylings are all we want to wear for a weekend at the beach, be it North Beach, Mid-Beach or South Beach.
Miami is about three things: the beach, the art scene and the after party. To navigate the city you need a transitional wardrobe. In our book, no brand complements this shoreside metropolis' art deco palette more than LoveShackFancy.
Frills, crochet and ice-cream hued summer stylings are all we want to wear for a weekend at the beach, be it North Beach, Mid-Beach or South Beach.
We're packing for our next seaside escapade with the creative director of LoveShackFancy, Rebecca Hessel Cohen - and eyeballing her itinerary as we fold. Loading up her suitcase with the effortless lace dresses, whimsical floral prints and embroidered cotton tops that define her line, Rebecca lets us in on Miami's coolest neighbourhoods, the best vegan lunch spots in town and where she's checking-in.
Our bags are overflowing with frissons of lace, we're donning our most-prized (and completely airport-inappropriate) Angellica metallic maxi dress and we're ready to go.
Anytime it's cold in New York, but Presidents' Day weekend or over spring break in March are key times to visit.
By foot. I love walking around the city and discovering new areas, shops and cafés.
Wynwood Art District. It's definitely worth visiting to check out the colourful, vibrant murals. It's also great for shopping - try Bal Harbor Shops where The Webster has an outpost.
Soho Beach House or the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club in Surfside.
Cecconi's in the courtyard of Soho Beach House serves incredible pizza and the lobster pasta is beyond. Swan is good for a casual lunch, as is Makoto in Bal Harbor, particularly if you're in the mood for Japanese food (and divine ice cream).
Mandolin Aegean Bistro is absolutely magical and unbeatable when it comes to Mediterranean food.
I recently discovered Kyu. It's a must for sashimi.
Saxony Bar at Faena Hotel. Its lively late-night lounge serves up all the classic cocktails.
The Bay Club in Sunset Harbour or Soho House are perfect for a nightcap.
Miami's Little Havana district is the best place for a taste of Cuban food and culture outside of Cuba. Try Calle Ocho.
To the pool. Then the beach. Then the pool again. And repeat.
Seaspice or Malibu Farm - both are delicious and have waterfront views.
After a day of shopping in the Design District, St Roch Market is the perfect stop-off to please all manner of cravings. For a quick coffee head to OTL, but if you're craving something sweet, Zak the Baker has amazing pastries.
Fisher Island Club, a private members club, is gorgeous and only a short jaunt from the city. Alternatively take a trip down to the Keys - you don't have to go as far as Key West, you can stop at Islamorada, a village encompassing six of the Florida Keys famed for their coral reefs.
LoveShackFancy everything. From vibrant floral dresses to lace-detailed cover-ups, ditsy print sunsuits and sorbet-hued knits (for when the evening turns chilly). Our latest collection is made for this city.
Swimsuits, our mini ruffle dress and loads of maxi dresses, plus heels and our new trainers in collaboration with Superga.
Call Me Gaby, Miami's best Italian pizza and pasta restaurant.
A golden tan.
That no one works and everyone's at the beach all day.
The Standard Hotel. Use the spa, pool and then watch the sunset on the pool deck at its restaurant, Lido. The Sacred Space in Wynwood is great - go here for a vegan meal at Plant Miami before shopping at Flow, which offers a well-curated selection of wellness goods.
On my recent trip to Miami I couldn't put down Start with Story: The Entrepreneur's Guide to Using Story to Grow Your Business by Lyn Graft.
