Bob Bob Marley immortalised the beauty of Jamaica in his song Natural Mystic. The message? You don't need religion - the world around us is the greatest spiritual teacher and if you listen closely you will learn from the natural mystic blowing through the air.

For Volume 12 of SUITCASE Magazine, which focused on the conservation of our planet, our fashion team travelled to the Jamaican countryside and set up camp in the parish of Portland, home to our Fashion-Editor-at-Large Savannah Baker. A world away from the gated communities of Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, life in Portland is about jerk chicken at Boston Beach, raft trips along the calm waters of the Rio Grande, taking dips in the world-famous Blue Lagoon and getting down at a street dance.

Our aim was to shoot an editorial to reflect the beauty and laid-back nature of Portland. Jamaican model Aneita Moore was captured by photographer Olivia Rose in some of the most iconic spots in the parish. Savannah styled Aneita in looks that mirror her earthy surroundings, while Kione Grandison was at hand to top up hair and make-up.
