As summer drew to a close, I felt the urge to escape from the hustle and bustle and familiar faces and places that surrounded me.
Throughout August I travelled across Vietnam, tracing its coast from south to north, starting in Ho Chi Minh City and ending in the capital, Hanoi. I journeyed through places packed with tourists, and to villages of which few people in the west have ever heard (and in which few words of English were spoken).
Stepping - or riding - out of my comfort zone, I hired a motorbike. With these two wheels I was able to venture off the routes well trodden and capture a side of the country that isn't splashed across the internet. Vietnam helped me grow as a person, and this is reflected in this album.
