A great place to base yourself for a short stay in Copenhagen, Skt. Petri is a winning choice for business travellers and design-inclined travellers alike.
If you don't like the colour green, avert your eyes now. Skt. Petri is filled with it. Emerald and chartreuse set the tone for central spaces, while living walls and climbing plants smother chandeliers and other surfaces.
The lobby is punchy and graphic, with bold circular lighting overhead and chevron-patterned flooring. While Skt. Petri does tilt toward corporate bookings, it's more business casual than super serious, offering a well-balanced space whether you're off the clock or on.

For a little over £100 per night, the rooms at Skt. Petri are impressive. Spacious, and with all the "basics" you couldn't get by without - fluffy robes, nice linens and a well-stocked mini bar - standard rooms are functional and fun. Instagrammable design features include an embossed focal wall and a particularly covetable mushroom-topped lamp.
Breakfast is a grand affair - and a busy one at that. Between 9-10.30am seems to be a particularly popular time, so early birds and late risers will fair well here.
For extra seating options, enjoy breakfast on the patio or in the spillover area to the right of the central bar. Choose from a wrap-around buffet bar featuring fresh and dried fruits, yoghurt and cereals, cheeses and breads, as well as a hot food station.

As with breakfast, lunch and dinner is served on level one in the main lobby-cum-restaurant. You don't need to make a meal out of it - you can drop in for a light snack - but if it's a feast you're after, the lunch menu at Petri Restaurant has some great options.
Sloppy joe sliders and chips with truffle mayonnaise may not be haute Scandi fare, but they are undeniably good.
Alternatively, if you're staying at the hotel Tuesday through Saturday, book a table at Restaurant Dada for some lick-the-plate-clean mezze.
Yes, there's Petri Bar, but you will be sitting among diners. If a change of scene is as sought after as a sip of the cold stuff, we'd venture elsewhere.
Head instead to nearby Ruby or The Jane for dancing and damn good cocktails.
There's a gym as well as a business centre. The latter also joins on to a series of conference rooms, which are bookable via reception.
By the lift (on each floor) you'll spot a shoe-shining machine - use it. Not sure how? Place your foot below the leather conditioner pump and work your way along the conveyor line to buff and shine your shoes ahead of your morning meeting.
Walk the steep incline to Rundetaarn, a beautiful tower minutes from Skt. Petri - its cobbled floors and minimalist interiors will abate you.
