At its futuristic European headquarters, tech-company Wacom has built something of a hub for Düsseldorf's switched-on creative types. Alongside co-working spaces, you'll find a VR room, podcast recording studio and cinema with red velvet chairs - perfect for hosting your next panel talk.

This ex-factory houses one of the world's leading collections of time-based art, as well as a vast reference library where creatives can come to research their work. You can easily spend an entire afternoon lost in video, sound and computer-based installations dating from the Sixties to the present day.

Housed in the art museum's K21 building, this is a light-flooded wonderland filled with radical art from German names such as Nicholas Grafia, Blinky Palermo and Jonathan Meese. Don't miss the chance to clamber on Tomás Saraceno's bubble installation, which is suspended 25m above the atrium.
