If you're anything like us, you'll have spent the last few months lusting after post-lockdown travel. Read: drifting between browser tabs of dreamy beachscapes and island hideaways, and scrolling for a suitable summer wardrobe to match. Sound familiar? Give your browser a deserved break and discover KALITA, the sustainable womenswear label offering one of our lucky readers a holiday wardrobe worth £1,000.
Launched by London-based, Texas-Iraqi designer Kalita Al Swaidi in 2016, the brand specialises in timeless hand-dyed dresses and separates crafted from organic silk, cotton and linen. Caring for the plant is top priority, so all garments are consciously made in Bali using low-impact dyes that avoid the pollution of local ecosystems. This is holiday attire with some serious eco credentials. Each KALITA piece also comes with a reusable muslin bag for slinging your garbs from beach to bar with ease (see ya, sandy tote bag).
From free-spirited maxi dresses to elegant beach cover-ups, the label's latest collection for SS21 features an array of signature pieces, including gowns of habotai silk and sheer-cotton tunic dresses that keep you feeling breezy from morning through to the evening.
