Fancy yourself as Audrey Hepburn or Gregory Peck, zipping around the Eternal City on a vintage Vespa? We're giving you the chance to realise those Hollywood holiday dreams but with a decidedly contemporary spin thanks to Design Hotels™.
We're giving away a two-night stay for two at the daringly design-forward boutique hotel Chapter Roma. Currently the place to stay in Rome, history is cast anew in this former 19th-century residence which has been transformed into a sleek monochrome pad.
We stayed earlier this year and couldn't get enough of what we described as "audaciously sexy aesthetics" - think brass, copper, steel and bronze against boiserie walls peppered with statement artworks and hugged by devilishly Instagrammable bright-orange velvet sofas. It's art-deco Manhattan loft meets Gio Ponti design.
You'll devour a breakfast of cured meats and Italian pastries on us, eaten to the sounds of punk rock and garage classics in the main lounge (sounds weird but it works) before heading out to explore the hip neighbourhood of Regoala and the razzmatazz of the Jewish ghetto beyond. Forget the tourists, this is where Rome's coolest cats come to play.
You'll want to return to Chapter Roma for lunch because we're also treating you to a sustainable spread of fresh salads and house specials at their Market bistro, washed down with green juices or good Italian wine.
Hunger satiated, from here on in we're leaving you to your own devices. Chapter Roma is located close to many of the city's star attractions, but in the evening we suggest making tracks back to lively Regoala. If Chapter Roma's had anything to do with it, you'll be feeling daringly spirited...

The brand unites hotels that reflect the vision of independent hoteliers with a passion for genuine, culturally rooted hospitality and cutting-edge design and architecture.
In a late-1800s neoclassical building in Rome's historic Regola neighbourhood, Chapter Roma showcases a bold contemporary design inspired through-and-through by its surroundings. Tucked away in a street known for its history of blacksmithery, the hotel is a showcase of raw steel, brass, copper, and bronze on a canvas of exposed brick and vaulted ceilings. Statement artworks by such names as Willy Verginer, Alice Pasquini, and Cyrcle spark conversation throughout the communal spaces, crystalizing the hotel's contribution to the gallery-filled neighbourhood, while the guestrooms are provocatively art-free for relaxing reflection.
