Since relocating to California from my Atlantic home on the east coast of Florida, my biggest geographical sacrifice has been leaving the Caribbean. My former back yard, I have spent every summer swimming in those warm seas, island hopping, exploring and soaking up the culture and colours of those little specks of paradise. The rejuvenation I felt when returning to the tropics for the first time in almost a year is indescribable. These images depict moments on land and water in Saint Lucia; a tropical oasis in the British West Indies. Private jungle tours of local's homes, feeling tiny beside the Piton volcanoes and the smell, feel and taste of the sea are lasting memories which I have tried to capture here.
