Where
Bergen, Norway
Why now
Embedded in the Seven Mountains among seven fjords, Bergen’s web
of timber houses, cobbled roads and patches of greenery make
strolling through its streets feel like an adventure into an older
era. Magical scenery, achingly cool boutiques, drinking dens and
people, and not a selfie stick in sight.
When to go
It rains 260 days of the year so the warmer the month the
better. If you like jazz then visit in May/June when the city plays
host to several festivals.
Who to take with you
Best friend or other half.
Most likely to bump into
Fans of Scandi design and extremely well-dressed
individuals.
Don’t miss
The brilliant Kunsthall for art, T-Michael boutique to meet
Bergen’s most dapper man, Lysverket for a mind-blowing meal, and
Ujvent to round off the day with beer and beard watching.
An essential you need to bring with you
Everything and anything Waterproof. We like The People’s
Poncho.
