Iceland in Thaw

After a year living in Reykjavik, photographer Jeaneen Lund developed a fascination with Iceland's unique landscapes and culture. Working with one of the most dramatic landscapes in the world, she was captivated by the weather's ability to completely alter the appearance of subjects hour by hour. Her Iceland series is an attempt at capturing the transience that she experienced while living there.

Her series celebrates the vast and often colourless landscapes, from minimalist graveyards lit up in the darkest of winter, to the quiet expanses of Iceland's black sand beaches offset by colour found in day to day life from skies at sunset to brightly painted houses.
