Where to Shop in Nice, France

Here’s where to find the best of this coastal city’s craftsmanship, from a treasure-trove boutique to an ornate chocolatier dating back to 1820

Read the full story in Volume 38: Flavour.

There's a clear dedication to traditional artisanship in Nice - whether that's in the making of crystallised fruits and candied chestnuts at confiserie Maison Auer, or the production of cheese at a local fromagerie, the guiding principle seems to be the same: make things as they should be made. Instead of tatty souvenir shops and knock-off clothes boutiques, in Nice you'll find that it's the shops of leatherworkers, chocolatiers and antiques dealers that take centre stage.
