Its three locations in Bogotá offer a wide variety of high-quality, fair-trade crafts sourced from Indigenous communities across the country. The selection leans towards home decor but clothing, bags and accessories can be found here too. Prices may be a bit higher than other craft shops in the city, but for good reason: 70 per cent of profits are given back to the village artisans.

This Sunday market is as much about the experience as what’s for sale. Set against the Andean mountains on the cobblestone streets of Usaquen, this flea market offers a distinct selection of goods to peruse while listening to local musicians with a steaming cup of tinto (street coffee) in hand. Whether on the prowl for succulents, vinyl records or artisanal soaps, you can find almost anything here. Yet unlike other traditional markets, sellers aren’t pushy. Sundays only from 9am-5pm.

If you want to support rural communities and take home a piece of the most remote regions of Colombia without venturing further than a quiet back street in Usaquen, this is the shop for you.

Since opening in 2011, this boutique has become coveted among locals for its celebration of Colombian designers. More than 60 clothing and jewellery designers are presented across several exhibition spaces, each designed with the spirit of the brand displayed in mind. Feel like a haircut and slice of pizza? A hairdresser can be found on the second floor and a pizzeria is located in the garden of this charming historic place in Quinta Camacho.
