bar
Lido Vivara
The spot for a sunset cocktail in Procida, Vivara enjoys a prime location on the 1950s-style strip of vintage beach huts and cafés in the “tourist harbour” in the southwest of the island. The bar attracts a glamorous crowd, with occasional live jazz nights and parties. Head into the harbour for something more low-key for dinner, or stay put and splash out on the superb, tapas-style seafood aperitivo.
bar
Maresia
An all-day beach-club lounge bar with sun loungers and a garden terrace leading onto popular Chiaiolella beach, Maresia appeals to the international traveller in search of some super-chilled backpacker vibes. It’s a little more expensive than its neighbours, but watching the sunset with a properly made mojito from a deckchair by the pool more than makes up for it.
bar
Malazzè
A beautiful evening spot overlooking Marina Corricella, Malazzè is built within the arches of an old boat warehouse on the quay. Linger over a hearty snack menu of seasonal freselle (southern Italy’s version of bruschetta, made with crunchy bagel-shaped bread), eight different types of spritzes and all the classic cocktails. The freshly squeezed Procida lemon juice, naturally sweet from the island’s sun-kissed fruit, is a must on a hot afternoon. The bar gets points for having its own reusable bottles, as part of Procida’s zero-plastic initiative.
