restaurant

Bar Grottino

Close to Procida’s main ferry terminal in Marina Grande, this dimly lit bar offers the perfect first taste of island life. Jostle with the locals for a spot at the bar to knock back a seriously strong espresso – served with sparkling water as is tradition in Naples, followed by one of Procida’s signature lingua di bue – “bull’s tongue” – breakfast pastries. Unique to the region of Campania and more specifically to Procida, the tongue-shaped puff pastry delicacy is filled with a subtle lemon cream and sprinkled with sugar.
